Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — Qualifying
A qualifying race with different distance and time standards for Driver, Other Trades, Pioneer, and Female candidates. No marks awarded; pass/fail basis only.
Physical Standards Test (PST)
Measurement of Height, Chest (for male candidates), and Weight as per the prescribed physical standards for each category.
Computer Based Test (CBT) — 100 Marks
100 multiple choice questions covering Reasoning, General Knowledge, Mathematics, and English/Hindi. Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies per wrong answer.
Trade / Skill Test — Qualifying
A practical trade-specific test worth 50 marks. Candidates must score a minimum of 20 marks to qualify. Marks are not counted in the final merit.
Document Verification (DV)
Original documents including educational certificates, domicile proof, age proof, trade certificate, and category certificate are verified at this stage.
Detailed Medical Examination (DME / RME)
A thorough medical fitness examination is conducted. Final merit list is prepared based entirely on CBT scores after qualifying all other stages.
