📝 Written Exam Pattern (Computer-Based Test)
Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT) | Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes) | Total: 100 Questions / 100 Marks | Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
Total: 100 Questions | 100 Marks | 120 Minutes | Negative Marking: –0.25 per wrong answer
📌 Pro Tip: Final merit list is prepared solely on CBT scores of medically fit candidates. Avoid blind guessing — each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks, so skip questions you are genuinely unsure about.
🔄 Complete Selection Process – Stage by Stage
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Running race as per trade group standards. Qualifying in nature only — does not contribute to merit. Conducted using RFID-based timing systems.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
Measurement of height, chest (for males), and weight using digitised equipment. Must meet category-specific standards to proceed further.
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
100-question objective exam covering Reasoning, GK, Maths, and Language in 120 minutes. This is the merit-deciding stage. Negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer applies.
Trade / Skill Test
Practical test of actual trade proficiency. Candidates for Cook must demonstrate cooking, Carpenter must show woodwork skills, etc. This stage eliminates candidates who lack real trade experience despite having paper eligibility.
Document Verification (DV)
Original certificates including 10th marksheet, domicile/residence certificate, ITI certificate (if applicable), driving licence (for Driver post), caste certificate, and identity proof are verified.
Detailed Medical Examination (DME / RME)
Comprehensive health and fitness check. Colour blindness, knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, and squint are disqualifying conditions. Candidates declared unfit can opt for Review Medical Examination (RME) in writing on the same day.
